Our attorneys within this department have vast experience in the insolvency industry, both in the taking of appointments as trustees/liquidators in insolvent estates and as acting for creditors exposed to insolvent estates. Our attorneys have been involved in some of the most complex and high profile liquidations in South Africa.
In an industry that has been tainted with questionable practices by some trustees/liquidators, our attorneys pride themselves in their uncompromising approach in line with the highest ethical standards in attending to the winding up of insolvent estates. Our ultimate goal always being to minimise the hardship and maximise the recovery to the creditors. Much of our success in achieving this arises from the conducting of formal enquiries into the affairs of the respective insolvent estates.
Strauss Daly, being a nationwide law firm, allows its attorneys to be appointed on the respective panels of the Master the High Court in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Cape Town and Bloemfontein. Our insolvency department is also backed by a highly experienced administration team with each individual having more than 15 years’ experience in the administration of insolvent estates.
